Death Valley & Las Vegas Part 1

Well they don’t call it Death Valley for nothing! It was 115 degrees F (that’s 46 degrees C) as we drove across and they won’t let you have the air con on for the whole way. We drank 2.5 gallons of water between us on the way across this…

We’ve been in Vegas for 2 nights now (actually halfway through the 3rd, it’s 2.30am here!) and I have to say I’m not entirely sure what all the fuss is about… It’s a bit too loud, vulgar and money-grabbing for me. Having said that, I did enjoy the Big Shot ride at the top of the Stratosphere that we did last night (pretty scary)! It had an amazing view over the strip, but it was hard to concentrate on that when we were being catapulted into the sky…

I also really enjoyed the helicopter ride that we took into the Grand Canyon today (thank you VERY much BP and Dove teams)!

We got picked up from our hotel by limo, then got to see the Hoover dam from the air, landed in the Canyon for a champagne lunch and then got a great view of the whole strip on the way back. The Canyon is totally amazing – so huge and silent.

More updates to follow as and when we have t’internet!
Much love, Gude x

Missing you babe but I suspect you’re enjoying your travels (and the photos look amazing) just a little bit more than you would enjoy going into the Wharf at the moment. Only (!) 30 degrees here but the Underground is horrid. Thank goodness for deoderant!

Yep, lounging by the pool and drinking gins will always win over a day at the office! ;o)
      Definitely don’t fancy tube/bus etc in 30 degrees…
      Miss you too gorgeous x

    Hello my darlings
That is an awesome picture of Death Valley! I knew you’d enjoy the helicopter trip – you feel very small and humble looking over the canyon. Such good memories! Missing you lots and loving the posts – keep ’em coming please!

Yeah, the heliocopeter (as mum says) was fantastic! Miss you too lovely – we MUST have a girlie holiday once we’ve been back long enough to get some cash together – a cheap week on lastminute.com or something… x
